The legal basis for this processing is Escale Map’s legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the site, and in replying to messages.
Light or dark mode
If you change the display theme, your choice is saved in your browser (local storage) so it can be applied again on your next visit. It is never sent to Escale Map or anyone else, and you can erase it by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
YouTube videos
Videos only load after you click the play button. Only then does YouTube (Google) receive your connection and may set cookies, under its own policy.
Affiliate links
When you click a partner link, you leave Escale Map: the partner’s website applies its own privacy policy and may record your visit to attribute a commission.
Transfers outside the European Union
Cloudflare is a US company. Data transfers to the United States are covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@escalemap.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
